About the Author
The author is a Canadian citizen born in
Guelph, ON She was raised with nine
siblings out in the rural part of the city.
There was always some adventure, trip,
story, or games to play. On winter
weekends one would find her and the
siblings out on"the hill" tobogganing, making
snow forts for those snow fights and playing in "the tunnel"
that comprised of two rows of cedar trees sheltering them
from the cold. Many days were spent in the summer months
swimming and playing in the backyard.
Dorothy Krusky always loved to write, however she put it on
the back burner to raise her family. She has always been
perceptive of people, animals and nature. Her values are that
of someone who just wants to share the gift she has finally
uprooted in the past few years. To see more of her work click

Oh Dorothy, this is lovely -- the imagery is wonderful, so much so that I could see each of the people you wrote about. Your
thoughts all come together to end perfectly. Very well done!

The Christmas Cat is a wonderful children's Christmas story about how a little pug dog and a beautiful Persian cat share
in the magical moments of Christmas Eve.
This 9" x 5" Christmas story is a wonderful stocking stuffer for any child. The bright coloured graphics, easy to read print
and durable laminated cover definitely has the child in mind. The story itself has a powerful message in caring for pets. It
also gives an added twist of excitement as Crystal shares with Puggers the scruffy little newcomer about a special night. T
Why not make a new Christmas tradition this year? Let Puggers and Crystal entertain your children this Christmas Eve.

This book was so well worth the wait, people ... "The Christmas Cat" is a "must have" on all bookshelves, not only for
children, but for the child in all of us. I read it cover to cover, at once loving every word, every emotion, smiling at times, and
eyes tearing up over the beautiful, timeless messages imparted by this wonderful author.
My next stop was to my daughter's house -- what better 'test' of a children's book, than reading it to children and getting their
reactions? If having to read it three times in succession is any indication, the book was also a great hit with my
grandchildren! They hung on every word -- you could have heard a pin drop in the living room where we sat.
Again, this book is one you must have -- I guarantee, you will cherish it as much as I do. My hat is off to Dorothy Krusky for
writing this enchanting book.
My very warmest regards,

Review on The Christmas Cat 2005
I HAVE TONS OF STICKY NOTES AND LITTLE TIME TO EXPLAIN ...
I THINK "THE CHRISTMAS CAT," IS AN EXTREMELY UNIQUE STORY WITH A LOT OF
TEACHING POINTS. FIRST, THE VOCABULARY IS SENSATIONAL. I WISH I HAD ACCESS
TO THIS BOOK WHEN I WAS TEACHING. DOROTHY'S VOCAB PICKS, AND SIMILE USAGE IS FANTASTIC I JUST LOVE IT!
SECOND, I LOVE THE FRIENDSHIP ASPECT WHERE
TWO "DIFFERENT" SPECIES END UP CONNECTING AND ESSENTIALLY FORMING A
SURPRISING BOND.
I HOPE ONE DAY THIS STORY IS ILLUSTRATED AND PROPERLY RESPECTED BECAUSE IT IS A STORY WORTH
TREASURING!!!! I NOT ONLY PLAN ON
USING IT TO TEACH HUDSON BUT WILL EVENTUALLY INCORPORATE IT INTO MY FUTURE
LESSONS ... I WANT TO EXPOSE AS MANY CHILDREN AS POSSIBLE TO THIS FABULOUS
TALE!
PLEASE KEEP ME INFORMED AS TO WHEN I CAN SEE THIS STORY ON THE SHELVES. I
WILL FOREVER TREASURE HAVING ONE OF THE FIRST COPIES ... SIGNED BY THE
AUTHOR.
Thank You,
Sincerely,

Ah, a truly delightful Christmas story, written by a lady who obviously clearly knows what charms kids (both young and old).
Dorothy Krusky has beautifully presented The Christmas Cat, both in prose and in charming illustrations. This story must
take its rightful place among the classic Christmas tales. There is one point in the story where you may cry, but it is a
GOOD crying point, endearing both the story and its writer. The Christmas Cat is a collector's item, and shame on you if you
fail to collect it!
Well done, Dorothy!

Dorothy Krusky, author of “The Christmas Cat”, reveals her festive and delightful children’s storybook.
By Siscan Publications -via PRLog

Krusky, who has written a series of short stories and poems, is publishing her Christmas story that has been a traditional
family read every Christmas Eve.
“I enjoy seeing the children light up when I’m reading the coming of the Christmas Cat,” says Krusky. While the story is
“focused on families with pets, writing and reading for children is where my passion is.”
Before the release of her children’s storybook, Krusky has worked for numerous years interacting with children on a daily
basis. During that time, she observed how children seemed to shine with delight when she spoke of the characters in the
magical Christmas tale.
L.M. Richard, of Siscan Publications, says “Krusky’s work has been a real compliment to the website and we’ve been
getting some excellent feedback on this Christmas story already.”
Siscanbooks.com and Bonstichs.com released the story book to have internet exposure. “It is my pleasure to share this
Christmas tradition with children, says Krusky. “Many parents will also share the excitement of children on Christmas Eve
while reading this special bedtime story.”
This is a perfect Christmas gift for children ages 4 to 9 years old. The laminated, saddle stitch bound book has colourful
graphics on 36 pages and 2000 words. The story is filled with Christmas fun and teaches children lessons about having
pets. It makes a great Christmas Eve read for parents to read to their children.

The Christmas Cat - Original Edition
In 2004 a Christmas story was born. It was typed on 8" x 111/2" paper and read aloud on Christmas Eve. Shortly thereafter the story was earnestly created by the author Dorothy Krusky and her sister Linda. For many days, night, and hours they toiled over the making of The Christmas Cat to have it ready for release Christmas 2005! The dream was born, put into action and created by two VERY determined women.
They learned many aspects about making a book, creating graphics and learning overall the programs needed to create the book. It was a venture to say the least. The dedication they had for the creating of the characters Puggers and Crystal is a definite labor of love. A book every adult and child is sure to enjoy. These are a limited Edition, signed by the author. They can be purchased on the link www.siscanbooks.com on the left column above.
